Awesome Sportsmanship

I must say that I am so proud of the sportsmanship showed by our team, coaches, students, and fans at last night’s basketball games. We showed true HTMS spirit in our wins and losses. Great job!
Check out the new pictures in the “photo gallery” section of the school web site. Mrs. McGuyer was able to capture some action shots during the game. Thanks to all of the teachers who came out to support our students.

I agree. Our sports teams have great sportsmanship and thats a great attribute for our school. Some schools don’t have good sportsmanship and that makes us stand out.

I agree, the coaches made the football team be very classy we had to show sportsmanship or we would have to pay the price.

I agree with you. The game was great! They really did show alot of team work, and thye put alot of effort into it. The game was over before it started and Clay knew that, too. Go Husky’s!!

I agree. Our school has great sportsmanship and that is a great attribute for our school. Some schools don’t have good sportsmanship and that makes both them and us stand out.

Being on the basketball team, it made me VERY excited to see all of our fans there supporting us and showing A LOT of spirit! It made me laugh so hard to see some of our fans with their chests painted, and holding up signs and being the loudest people in the gym. Thank you all so much for coming out and supporting the Huskies last night. Go Huskies!

I thought that the games where great last night also. The Huskies played a great game and the dog pound was on fire!!! Go HT!!!!

I agree that the Huskies had great sportmanship. We had a good turnout with our dog pound. Everyone definately showed their interest in the game and cheered the teams on. We truely showed Husky Pride by doing things that we should do to be an example.

I think you are absolutly right that our teams did very good at the games last night. The coaches are doing an excellent job with the coaching and the pep rally realy pumped them up. I am glad that our school lets the students of HTMS do sports and after shcool activities. GO HUSKIES GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although, I was not there I know that our school has great spirit. I am on the wrestling team so I would know. I love that I have people who actually would take there time out of there everday llives to see me wrestle 2 times a match. GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!

We do act sportman like when we when or lose. We should always do that and I’m glad that we do it now.

That was a very fun game I only got to stay for the first game and half of the second one because I had to go to High Fly practice but the two games I was there for we showed great husky spirit and pride.

Good sportsmanship is great to have, but hard to do. If you win, you always feel like rubbing it into someone’s face, but what about them? They are probably depressed enough, but with you rubbing it in their face, it’s really hard to keep your cool. Even in losses, if you get mad and start throwing things and stomping your feet, it might make the other team feel bad, or just make a fool of yourself.

Yes, we do have good sportsmanship and I love that about this school♥ That was a good game and I hope there will be more like that!!!

I think that our teams, coaches, and fans are doing a great job with sportsmanship also. Last night at the game our team kept calm the whole time but Clay was cussing us out and the coach was yelling. Plus the fans were screaming. Only 2 people on there team said ‘Good game’ at the end. It was awful.

Thanks for the uplifting comment on my blog. I had to have my hubby show me how to work his iPod several times. Sometimes, I think it should be the kids who are teaching us technology!

I agree with everyone else we have had great sportsmanship this year. I enjoy having that at our school becasue it makes us a better school. Every event I have been to this year we have all been behaving well.

I think that HTMS has great sportsmanship. When we show great sportsmanship I think that makes HTMS look great. I also think that all of our coaches are great too.

I am glad to be at this school with all this great sportsmanship. The football team was great with the great sportsmanship. Win we lost and when we won we tried our hard and thats all that counts.

I am involved in 3 school sports and I can say from experiance that Coach Marlow is the one who taught us everything we need to know about school pride. He taught us to respect all people around you no matter how they act on the feild or off. Coach Marlow has really helped me these past 2 years.

I agree with everyone about how ht has great pride in our shcool. We have fans at most football and basketball games. I always have fun with friends when we are cheering on our ht team.

Im really proud of our school. We have all worked hard this year, and we are deffinatly showing more sportsmanship lately. Also, ive noticed we don’t just show sportsmanship here, but that alot of us have been showing it out of school.

I think you are right. Even though Clay Cougars are our school rival everyone is friends with them.

We do have good sportsmanship becuase we are taught to have dicsipline. Some schools are bad loser but we’re not. Even though my team is the only team that lost to Clay it was a great night.

I agree that our schools teams have great sportsmanship. Our wrestling team did a great job this year winning county. All ther other teams did good.I think our teams did their best this year

I think that the Coaches seat a good example for all the teames. Thay shape us into young men and teach us what we need to know and how to act in the real world. Thanke you for supporting us thorugh out this year Dr. Willams.

I just got here from another school but yet, I see more teamwork here then I ever would of at my old school, at my old school they would all be hogging the attention, but here at HTMS we share the attention and get it done right.

I agree with you on the sportsmanship of HTMS. We showed class and sportsmanship even though we lost the game. I hope you agree when I say HTMS is the BEST!

All of our sports teams have showed a lot of sportsmanship this year. It has been great! It is especially nice after basketball games to tell the other team good game and relize that our team has way more class than them. Our fans have also been wonderful. They show so much spirit, but they don’t become crazy lunitics and ruin the events. Everyone is doing a great job and being really respectful.

I would have to agree to what you have said. There has not been any problems with bad sportsmanship at our school.We have been doing a great job and should keep doing so.

I agree. Most people at HTMS have good sportsmachsip but some do not. Hopefully someday everybody at our school will.

I am very glad our school has good sportsman ship. It makes the other teams want to play us again. Our school is one of the best with school sportsmanship.

I agree our school does have great sportsmanship. We encourage our band, cheerleaders, dance team, football players, basketball players, and our academic teams. We have great sportsmanship and should keep it up.

I agree with you about how our school had great sportsmanship! since July 2005 me and the team have been working hard on that. The man that taught me everything that i need to know is Coach Marlow. I hav eplayed with him with 2 years in 2 different sports and i have loved it! He has taught me how to respect and to show class all the time! he has reall y helped me this year and I want to thank him!!! War Eagle!!
