I have several fond memories of my school days. They range from my kindergarten play to being the Drum Major of the Hewitt Trussville Marching Husky band my senior year. One of my most memorable moments took place my senior year. The class was AP Government and Economics and Mrs. Robinson was the teacher. She was fabulous! In economics the entire class created a company and we actually created a product. The other 12th grade economics classes did as well and we competed to see who could make the most money. I was the Vice-President of marketing and my team created a commercial based off the Power Rangers cartoon and it was aired over the Channel One TV’s. We sold senior t-shirts and I must say that my class had the best design. It was a real business right in our classroom. We had to come up with a design, find the most economical way to create our product, create a demand for our product, and then supply it at a reasonable price. We had to market our item and compete with other “companies.” It was real-world and gave us a taste of what life could be like after high-school. I will never forget Mrs. Robinson or my class. I still even have the t-shirt!

since i was a pe helper i got to stay there all day to “help”. but most of the tome i just won prizes and played on the floats.
    those were good times.

My favorite school memory is probley … when I tried out for the baseball team. Baseball is the only sport I realy like and I worked realy hard at it to get were I am today. What I mean is that I tried out for a team that only 20 kids made. That makes me feel real good to. So that is probly my best school memory ever.

  7.   Morgan R. Says:

One of my best memories at this school, is when the program about Rachel Scott came and talked to all the students about their future and their faith. Everyone was crying in our grade, because the program really woke us up and made us relize we need to make the most of or time since we arent going to be on this world for much longer. It was very emotional and i loved seeing all of my good friends hugging eachother and apologizing for anything they had ever done. It also made me really happy to see alot of people praying on the cross that they had brought. I would love to see this program at the highschool next year, and I think it would be a good idea if they brought the program to the middle school again.

My best school memory is not good, but I remember it so well.I was in first grade on the old wooden play ground at recess. My friends and I were on the play ground swings when one of them dared me to jump off. So I did in the direction facing the street and the fence. When I did I forgot that there was a wood peice infront of the fence with nails sticking out every were. So when I jump off i fell forward into the wood peice and a nail went into my head.I was out for awhile ,but when I got back the principle and some workers came out there and took me with them to the play ground and let me watch them pull out every single nail in the wood. Now it is closed.

  11.   Nikki Morton Says:

My most favorible memory of this school year is actually coming to HTMS! This is because my dad was in the coast guard and we were always moving around. When my parents got a divorce we went to live with my aunt and uncle, while my dad was retiring from the coast guard. We got to see him on the weekends and stuff but, when he did retired we moved here. Now I’m going to a school that I know I’m going to stay at, untill I go to the high school. That isn’t half bad! I’m glad my dad chose this school!

  12.   Robert Isbell Says:

I would have to say it’s the field trip from band. We went to Atlanta, Georgia for a contest, then Stone Mountain, and then Six Flags. All of my friends went with us. We went to Stone Mountain in the morning after we had finished the contest. We had a bunch of fun. There was a cool fun house. And a 4-D Theater!! The Jungle Gym area was really cool as well. At the end of the day, they had a laser light show. It had a bunch of songs. Then we went back to the hotel to spend the night. That morning, we had a free breakfast. After that, we loaded the bus, then headed to Six Flags. I had never ridden a roller coastrer before that. So I finally rode the Great American Scream Machine. I never had so much fun in my life. Then we all rode the Batman. It was very fun. Then we rid……THE GOLIATH!! IT WAS AWESOME!! I actually rode it nine times when my friends rode it ten. But it was still fun.

  13.   Nicole Bohne Says:

I think that my best school memory would have to be when, it was our first day of school all the faces that you see. The faces that change so much over the summer. That day is when we all saw our friends who have eather changed or stayed the same, but because there your friens you don’t mind how they look in anyway. That would be my favorite memory of a time at school.

The memory that stuck with me was when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. That year me and a few other students won a Citizenship Award for our good manners and helping teachers after school. I was put in the news paper and every thing. I was so proud of myself.

  16.   Aleesha White Says:

My favorite school memory was this year when I won 2nd place in the Reflections art contest. I was so excited!! It’s a great feeling when you are recognized for something you love to do (I sound like such an art nerd right now,SORRY:)!! I was so proud of myself when I found out I got 2nd place and it’s something I’ll never forget.

  17.   alex Says:

My favorite memory is last year in 6th grade. Towards the end of the year, we would go outside for spectum. We would run and have contest outside around the flag pole. That was probaly the best time last year. I had Mrs. Graffeo for spectum. She was the best teacher.

  18.   Matthew Says:

My favorite memory of school was when I was in 5th grade. That was my favorite year of all time! I had all my friends in my class and the coolest teacher ever! Mrs. Smith was my teacher, and she is really funny and makes everything fun for us. Every recess we would play football, but the teachers thought it was too “rough” so we couldn’t play that anymore.
Then we started palying ultimate frisby every recess. It was a ton of fun. Also, i made the school track team that year, and I made it to clubs in juggling for the first time ever. This wasn’t in school but one time i was at my friends house, and I landed my first backflip on the trampoline. Also, that year our principle, Mrs. Bruno, had to kiss a pig because we read over 3,000 books. That’s why fifth grade was my favorite year ever.

  19.   Alex Ashby Says:

My absolute favorite school memory would have to be one of the projects we had to do for Mrs. Graffeo’s class. We had to play a band and lip sing and fake play instruments. I would have to say faking Keith Richards (Guitarist for Rolling Stones) was very fun.

All the games were very competitve we won everygame bye about 20 so did another team though. When it came time for the championship game my team and the ohter team were both undefeated. Everyone thought we were going to get killed. They were alot taller and faster then we were. But we shocked everyone by beating them by 18. We were champions.

My Favorite school memory is last year me and my friend were in Mrs. St. John’s class and we were looking at books, and she had this really old bookshelf where the rows were literally collapsing with all the books. It had been like that all year, and I allways thought it would be really funny if one day it just, you know shooooowwwww…crashed.Since it was the last day of school, and i knew it was impossible to get in that mutch trouble, I said “Do you dare me to knock it over?” And he said “Yeah.” so BOOM!!!!I did,and all the books came falling off the shelf onto us. Mrs. St. John did’nt get mad, she thought it was kinda funny, so we picked them all up and fixed it.I wonder if she still has that shelf…

I have many good memories at Hewitt Trussville. One of the resent ones is from this year. I will never forget the moment our girls basketball team beat Clay. I was so exited. I think every one was in shock because we had been down the hole game. All of the girls were jumping up and down going crazy, including me. We had practiced our hearts out the weeks befor. Our team even made other plays just for this game. I now know for a fact that anything can happen if you belive in yourself and never give up.

My favorite school memory was when I did a project in Mrs. Graffeo’s class in 6th grade. My three friends and I had to lip sing to a song from the mid 90s. We dressed up as The Marvelletts and “sang” “Wait a Minute Mr. Postman.” I could not stop laughing when we watched the video of us singing. It was a lot of fun!

My favorite school memory was in 3rd grade at Pinson. My teacher took us outside all day and we played kickball on the field, played on a hill (we got a TON of grass stains!), and hung out. It was great!

My favorite school memory is from last year when I was in the symphonic band. I am still in band this year but I miss all of the 9th graders who were in the band last year. We had so much fun on Spring Trip, and also did great at District Contest. Overall I have really enjoyed being in band, and I am looking forward to being in the marching band next year.

My favorite school memory was the Homecoming Dance of 06. I had the best time because I was new to the dances and everything since I was in sixth grade. I took pictures and ran around with my friends! It was really fun!
